Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about trust scoring, privacy, dispute resolution, and how your reputation grows.

Thula uses multiple layers of protection. First, our double-blind review system means both parties must submit their feedback independently before either review is revealed — this eliminates retaliatory or extortion-based ratings. Second, reviews are weighted by the reviewer's own reputation: new or low-score accounts have minimal impact, while highly-trusted reviewers carry significantly more weight. Third, any user can file a dispute against an unfair review, which is then examined by trusted mediators who can remove bad-faith feedback and penalize the submitter.
Yes. Thula follows privacy-by-design principles. Your personal information is securely stored and access-controlled. We use Auth0 for authentication — your password is never stored on our servers. You control what appears on your public profile, and you can request full data deletion at any time in accordance with GDPR regulations.
If you receive an unfair review, you can file a dispute directly from your dashboard. The review's impact on your score is temporarily suspended while it's under review. Trusted mediators — experienced platform members with Veteran, Civil Servant, or Top Rated status — examine the review and supporting evidence. They can either Uphold the dispute (removing the review) or Dismiss it (keeping the review). Bad-faith reviewers face reputation penalties.
Your Trust Passport is your public profile page at thula.lk/p/your-name. It displays your Global Trust Factor (a score from 0 to 1000), your tier badge (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum), a breakdown of individual rating categories (Integrity, Communication, Reliability, Expertise), a Trust Velocity graph showing your score over time, and an AI-generated summary of your review history. You can share this link with employers, clients, or anyone who needs to verify your professional reputation.
Your Global Trust Factor (0–1000) is calculated from four weighted categories: Integrity, Communication, Reliability, and Expertise. The scoring system applies recency decay — meaning older reviews gradually lose weight so your current performance matters most. Reviews from high-scoring peers carry more weight than those from newer members. Additionally, reviews submitted via proximity verification (in-person QR scanning) receive a 3x weight multiplier for maximum accuracy.
Thula offers three elite status tiers beyond the standard Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum badges: Veteran (awarded for long-term consistency and verified excellence), Civil Servant (for community trust builders who help mediate disputes), and Top Rated (the highest tier for the most trusted individuals on the platform). You advance by building verified work history, earning positive reviews from reputable peers, maintaining a high Global Trust Factor, and participating in community governance like dispute mediation.
You add a work history entry by providing your position, department, dates, and the organization you worked at. The entry starts as Pending and is sent to your manager or a platform mediator for review. Once approved, it becomes Verified and contributes to your trust score. If rejected, you'll receive feedback explaining why. If there's a disagreement, the entry can enter a Disputed state for further review by mediators.
