Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 9, 2026 • Last Updated: August 9, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Thula platform, including the Thula website, mobile applications, APIs, services, profiles, reputation features, verification services, and related products (collectively, the "Platform").
Thula is operated by Ragulan Software Consultants (Pvt) Ltd, a company incorporated in Sri Lanka ("Thula", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account, accessing, or using Thula, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. What Thula Is
Thula is a reputation and trust infrastructure platform designed to help people and organizations make more informed decisions about whom they may wish to work with, hire, engage with, partner with, or otherwise trust.
Thula may provide:
- public and private profiles;
- professional and organizational information;
- work-history claims;
- reviews and ratings;
- verification mechanisms;
- reputation points;
- Trust Scores;
- category-level ratings;
- reputation tiers;
- rankings and percentile information;
- dispute and review-management mechanisms; and
- other trust-related services.
Thula is a technology platform. A Thula profile, score, rating, verification status, or ranking is not a guarantee, certification, endorsement, or statement that a person or organization is trustworthy, suitable, competent, honest, safe, or legally compliant.
Users remain responsible for making their own decisions and conducting any additional checks appropriate to their circumstances.
2. Eligibility
- You must provide information that is accurate and not misleading when creating or maintaining an account.
- You must not create an account for another person without authorization.
- You must not use Thula where doing so would violate applicable law or the rights of another person.
- If you are under the applicable age required to independently consent to the relevant service or processing, you must use Thula only with the involvement and consent of a parent, guardian, or other legally authorized person where required by law.
3. Accounts and Authentication
- Thula may use third-party authentication providers to authenticate users.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity conducted through your account.
- You must notify us if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.
- We may suspend or restrict accounts where we reasonably believe that an account is fraudulent, compromised, abusive, automated, or being used to manipulate the Platform.
4. Profiles and Public Information
- Thula may allow users, organizations, and offices to create profiles.
- Certain profile information may be publicly visible, including information that a user intentionally publishes for the purpose of establishing a professional or organizational reputation.
- Users should not publish information that they do not have the right to disclose.
- Thula may make publicly available profile information discoverable through search engines where the relevant profile or information is configured as public.
5. User-Submitted Content
Users may submit reviews, ratings, comments, work-history information, claims, responses, evidence, profile information, and other material ("User Content").
You remain responsible for the User Content you submit.
By submitting User Content, you represent that:
- it is materially accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- you have the right to submit it;
- it does not knowingly contain false or misleading information;
- it does not unlawfully disclose another person's confidential or personal information;
- it does not infringe another person's intellectual property rights; and
- it does not violate applicable law.
You must not submit content for the purpose of manipulating another person's reputation.
6. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences or interactions.
You must not:
- create fake reviews;
- purchase or sell reviews;
- coordinate reviews to artificially increase or decrease reputation;
- review yourself;
- submit reviews on behalf of another person without authorization;
- create multiple accounts to influence reputation;
- threaten or pressure another person to provide a particular rating;
- retaliate against a reviewer;
- submit knowingly false information; or
- use automated systems to manipulate ratings or reputation.
Thula may use automated and manual systems to detect suspicious review activity.
A review may be hidden, limited, excluded from calculations, marked as disputed, or removed where Thula reasonably determines that it violates these Terms or applicable policies.
7. Double-Blind Reviews
Where the Platform uses a double-blind review process, reviews may remain hidden until the applicable review conditions have been satisfied.
The purpose of this mechanism is to reduce retaliation and encourage independent feedback.
Double-blind processing does not guarantee that reviews will remain permanently anonymous.
Thula may disclose information where required by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, or otherwise permitted under our Privacy Policy.
8. Verification
Thula may provide verification mechanisms including work-history verification, organizational verification, identity-related verification, proximity or co-location verification, QR-based verification, and other verification methods.
Verification means only that the applicable verification process produced the stated verification result.
Verification does not mean that Thula guarantees the truth of every statement associated with a profile.
Thula may revoke or modify a verification status when information is found to be inaccurate, outdated, fraudulent, manipulated, or otherwise unreliable.
9. Reputation Points and Trust Score
Thula may calculate reputation using multiple mathematical and algorithmic signals.
These may include:
- reviews and ratings;
- reviewer reputation;
- verification status;
- review recency;
- category weights;
- anti-manipulation controls;
- helpful feedback;
- participation;
- verification multipliers; and
- other signals described in the Platform's documentation.
Thula may maintain a Global Trust Factor or reputation-point balance and a separate Trust Score.
These metrics are mathematical representations generated from available Platform data. They are not objective measurements of a person's inherent character or worth.
Scores may change without the user's direct action as new information becomes available, reviews age, verification changes, disputes are resolved, or algorithms are updated.
10. Algorithm and Scoring Changes
We may modify scoring formulas, weights, thresholds, verification mechanisms, fraud-detection methods, and ranking methodologies.
We may make changes to improve accuracy, fairness, security, resistance to manipulation, regulatory compliance, or the usefulness of the Platform.
Where reasonably appropriate, material changes may be communicated through the Platform or an updated policy.
11. Reputation Tiers and Rankings
Thula may assign reputation tiers and calculate rankings or percentile positions.
Rankings are relative measurements based on the data and methodology available to Thula at the relevant time.
A ranking is not an endorsement or guarantee.
Thula does not guarantee that rankings will always be complete, current, or free from statistical limitations.
12. Disputes
A user may be permitted to dispute certain reviews or reputation information within the period and under the conditions specified by Thula.
A disputed review may temporarily be excluded from applicable Trust Score and category calculations while the dispute is under review.
Thula may use human review, evidence submitted by users, automated systems, and AI-assisted analysis to support dispute processing.
AI-generated analysis is an assistive tool and does not by itself constitute a final legal determination.
Thula may uphold, dismiss, modify, restrict, or remove disputed content depending on the applicable process.
13. AI-Assisted Services
Thula may use artificial intelligence or machine-learning technologies for purposes including:
- fraud detection;
- review analysis;
- dispute analysis;
- content moderation;
- classification;
- recommendations;
- anomaly detection; and
- platform security.
AI outputs may contain errors.
AI systems do not replace human judgment where human review is required by Thula's procedures or applicable law.
14. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- impersonate another person or organization;
- create fraudulent identities;
- manipulate reputation scores;
- interfere with Platform security;
- reverse engineer the Platform except where legally permitted;
- scrape or systematically collect Platform data without authorization;
- introduce malicious code;
- attempt unauthorized access;
- interfere with another user's account;
- abuse verification systems;
- submit fraudulent evidence;
- use Thula to harass, threaten, defame, discriminate against, or unlawfully target another person; or
- use the Platform for an unlawful purpose.
15. Intellectual Property
The Thula Platform, software, branding, logos, designs, databases, algorithms, documentation, and other materials provided by Thula are owned by or licensed to Ragulan Software Consultants (Pvt) Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Thula's proprietary materials.
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights granted to Thula under these Terms.
16. License to User Content
By submitting User Content, you grant Thula a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, distribute, analyze, moderate, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Platform.
This license continues for as long as necessary for those purposes and for legitimate legal, security, audit, dispute-resolution, and record-keeping purposes.
17. Third-Party Services
Thula may integrate with third-party services, including authentication, hosting, analytics, communication, infrastructure, verification, payment, or AI providers.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Thula is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
18. Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may temporarily suspend or restrict services for maintenance, upgrades, security, infrastructure failures, legal requirements, or other operational reasons.
19. No Professional or Legal Advice
Information available through Thula is provided for informational and decision-support purposes.
Thula does not provide legal, employment, financial, medical, immigration, or other professional advice.
You should obtain appropriate professional advice where necessary.
20. Disclaimer of Guarantees
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Thula does not guarantee:
- the accuracy of every User Content submission;
- the suitability of any person or organization;
- the correctness of every reputation score;
- the completeness of a profile;
- that every review represents an independently verified fact;
- that fraudulent activity will always be detected; or
- that use of Thula will prevent loss, fraud, misconduct, or other harm.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ragulan Software Consultants (Pvt) Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of or inability to use Thula.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable Sri Lankan law.
22. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of Thula, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights through your User Content or conduct.
23. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we reasonably believe that:
- these Terms have been violated;
- the account is fraudulent;
- the Platform is being manipulated;
- security is at risk;
- unlawful activity is suspected; or
- continued access creates material risk to Thula or other users.
Where appropriate, users may be given an opportunity to appeal or provide additional information.
24. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.
Deletion of an account does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every record associated with that account where retention is necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, audit, or other lawful purposes.
Public information may be removed or de-indexed subject to our policies and legal requirements.
25. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Thula Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
26. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms will be published through the Platform with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Where changes are materially significant, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
27. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, subject to applicable mandatory legal rights.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sri Lanka, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
